If Obama prayed for the National Day of Prayer what would he say?

I have been reading through the many blogs and articles of Christians upset that Obama will not be taking part in the National Day of Prayer Observance and find it quiet odd that many are upset by his decision. Why would President Obama have any interest in praying to God? Everything that God holds dear Obama holds in contempt. So I thought what, would he say anyway? How would he pray for God to bless and protect this nation when in from of the world he totally rejected God? In an excerpt taking from an article on the Huffington Post, Obama said this about America:
"One of the great strengths of the United States," the President said, "is ... we have a very large Christian population -- we do not consider ourselves a Christian nation or a Jewish nation or a Muslim nation. We consider ourselves a nation of citizens who are bound by ideals and a set of values."
I can now respectfully say that this President does not represent me. As a Christian I pray regularly for God to reign over this nation and that He is the LORD over the place I occupy in this nation. Now if Obama would have said, “as the leader of this nation, I can not endorse a creed or religion nor can the government establish a religion, as there are other faiths that people hold to, but as for me, I am a follower of Christ and He will be Savior over my role in this nation, that would be quiet different. I can not imagine him praying for God to protect our nation and bless us with His grace and mercy, when in order to do so he would have to confess to be a follower of Christ. A follower of Christ would never say that the nation in which He lives and governs is not a Christian nation, a nation that trusts in the atoning sacrifices of Jesus. A leader can lead his people by the principles of his or her faith without forcing those he leads to embrace said faith. So if he does not follow Jesus, he definitely can not follow God, because Jesus says, in John 14:6;

“Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.”

As the nations leader and chief representative, he has removed this nation from receiving the blessings of Psalms 33:12 which says,

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people whom He has chosen for His own inheritance.”

Would anyone believe that this man is the same person that Rick Warren was so cozy with and who many Christians including high profile people such as TD Jakes and Tyler Perry endorse. What I see in those so-called Christian leaders who supported Obama is that they have shown a very fatal lack of wisdom. The Scriptures tell us when the blind lead the blind they both fall into a ditch. There are many Christians who are stumbling over the many bodies that lie with them in the ditch they have dug for themselves as they blindly follow Obama.

Would Obama pray for God to bless the nation with peace and prosperity? Please refer back to Psalms 33:12. Why would he pray for prosperity when he believes that the government supplies for the needs of their citizens. Oh I know, so that he can take their prosperity and redistributed it to the poor. One would think that giving to the poor is not a bad idea. Again, more signs of Obama and his liberal lefts understanding of Biblical principles.

Another case of Obama not really being one to lead this nation on such an important day as the National Day of Prayer. Paul wrote Scripture about it. Wanna see it, here ya go!

“But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7 So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.”

The Scriptures say that “God loves a cheerful giver” and that we “should not grudgingly” give or give out of “necessity”. How would Obama reconcile the principles of the socialist model of income redistribution, which is the government deciding from whom and by how much one should give? I for one, can definitely understand President Obama taking a sabbatical from the National Day of prayer. I actually think that is a great idea. How would he pray about the moral condition of our country when he believes that the most precious part of God’s creation is a punishment? He would have to get around Psalms 127:3-5 which says,

“Behold, children are a gift of the LORD, the fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one's youth. How blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them; they will not be ashamed when they speak with their enemies in the gate.”

God says that Children are a blessing. Obama said that having a baby in ones youth is punishment. So would he pray that he and God can agree to disagree? Seems to me that this is not looking really good for President Obama or for us as the nation in which he leads. There are those of us who follow Christ that will step in to pray for the hope of this nation on the National Day of Prayer. And God will still hear and provide for us, as he does provide for those who love Him, even in spite of our leadership. It would behoove the left, however, to rethink their passion to rid the public of the presence of God and then attempt to portray themselves as faithful prayer warriors. To truly pray and have answered prayer one must have faith in Christ.
“If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. “If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—“”
So before my Christian brothers and sisters gets all bent out of shape about Obama’s decision to not partake in the National Day of Prayer, I say to you, as Samuel said in 2 Samuel 10:12,
“Be of good courage, and let us be strong for our people and for the cities of our God. And may the LORD do what is good in His sight.”
Then again, President Obama could read a prayer from his teleprompter. Not!

  1. I know you are, we can do a much better job praying for our country. Remember without faith it is impossible to please God. Does not seem like Obama possesses the faith we would need to reach the Throne Room Sis.

  2. I want to commend you for your truth. You have not let the fact that Barack Obama is black sway you in any way. He was able to get millions of black Christians to vote for him and I continue to wait for them to repent. I love your last comment on the Teleprompter - he let's it say everything else for him, so why couldn't he let in pray for him as well?

  3. Your post was a powerful one. I was thinking about this yesterday. How can he actually pray when most of what he says and does is in contrast to the teachings of the Word and why does his press secretary have to tell us that Obama prays regularly but in private. How would he know if it is done in private?
A follower of Christ is not afraid of his belief. What Obama does is let me know that he would take the mark of the beast rather than profess his faith in Jesus Christ. He only attended Church in Chicago to gain political clout in the community. A means to an end. Since being in the White House I only remember one instance of he and his family attending Church and that was on Easter. We must pray for his babies even though he and his wife are responsible for bringing them up in the way they shall go.

    Great job on this one!

  4. Thanks Diane,

The majority of the people who follow my blog are black conservatives who have not drunk at the koolaid altar of Obama. There are many of us out there as I have learned of late. The one thing I did realize after writing this blog is that we really must pray for our nation and our future. It was a pretty sobering reality to write this blog, because this will most probably be the first time in American history that we are led by an non-believer. It was a very sad reality. But we are here and until Jesus either calls us home or comes to receive us, we will be here and we will stand in the gap for this nation. I just hope all of the Christians who recklessly believed this man just because he said he was a Christian, can take responsibility for their actions.

  5. Thanks Ron for the comment.

Like I said in my previous post, it was really disheartening for me to face the reality of what I wrote. It's truly a sad day in America to know that our leadership is not seeking the will of God for this nation. But I hope that more than anything else it will cause Christians to understand the severity of the message that this sends to the world. Obama may not be one who follows Christ but we are and we must stand in the gap. I do see that there is an urgency to pray for him because he leads this nation and God will deal with us as He deals with Obama. And of course, his daughters will reap the consequences of this as well. It's just a really sad day in America.

  6. I just discovered your article-the title drew me in. I am so very thankful to discover a Christian women of color who is a Christian first. I am white and do not have the background that would allow me to first hand understand the emotions and devotion to Obama because of his race. I have been very dissappointed and saddened at the the women of color in my church and women's Bible study group that were so blindly taken in. You have refreshed me!!!

  7. Please do be refreshed. God's spirit is able to refresh us as we deal with this moment in our the community of faith. I am struck by a very profound statement that Jesus made when someone told Him that His mother was looking for Him. In Matthew 12:47-50 Jesus said this:

"Someone said to Him, "Behold, Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside seeking to speak to You." But Jesus answered the one who was telling Him and said, "Who is My mother and who are My brothers?" And stretching out His hand toward His disciples, He said, "Behold My mother and My brothers! "For whoever does the will of My Father who is in heaven, he is My brother and sister and mother."

I have nothing to do with Obama, as I have said before we share the same tone of skin and we are both left handed, other than that, I do not have any other connection with him. More than anything I would ask for you to pray for those who followed Obama only because he was black. It's so shallow that we elected a man just because of his skin color in many ways. There were whites who felt that they should vote for him as well just because he is black to help heal the wounds of the past. No way, the wounds will only be healed when people get past their own self-centeredness, not because you someone their way. We are in a sorrowful place in a America today, but it's not a place where God can not lead us out of. Those of us who have ears to hear and eyes to see must be the voice in the wilderness. Thank you for your comment.

  8. I just found your post, the title also pulled me in. I know this is a older post, but I am so glad to see you are still writing.

I dont claim to be anything but one that loves Jesus and the word of God. My mom voted for Obama and loves him the man can do no wrong, she still believes he is a Christian. I am also glad that he did not pray for our country he doesnt like it or believe in the word of God he tried to tear it apart in a few of his speaches after becoming president.

All the people you have named (Rick Warren, Tyler Perry and T.D. Jakes are masons not christians and are not preaching the true meaning of God's word. Most of the past presidents were masons too if not all of them. Slowly and deseptively they have been trying to stop Christianity. So now we have a president that shows his true side.

We can not trust anyone of influence, pastors, actors, christan artists once they become famous they have sold their soul. Just as Rick Warren and Tyler Perry. Did you know Mary Mary did a concert with LLCoolJ at a church and used satanic symbalism? Have you seen Mary Mary's definition of the song 'God In Me'? I was shocked by all of this and have since been checking out everything I can on famous christians. The Bible says that even the most elect christian will believe the lies. They tickled my ears, the singers and the pastors. But no more, I want a church of Christ not a Purpose Driven Church that takes down their crosses, dont believe in the old rugged cross and dont believe in repentance. And not a church that is all about the music and not God's word.

I dont know if you will accept this or not, it was hard for me, but I needed to share. The end times are so close I dont want to be ignorant about whats going on. I know that alot of things are made up on the internet but there are alot of truth in it. Those that I mentioned are not just masons they are a group called the Illuminati.

So if you havent hear of them I hope you will check all this out for yourself, just like when a preacher reads the word of God we have to know it for ourselves.

God Bless you and thank you for your post. Sorry mine was so long but felt it needed said.
