Glenn Beck's 9/12 Project looks at the concerns of America's Mom's

This Friday, "The Glenn Beck Show" will be airing a special studio audience segment of the 9/12 project which will showcase the concerns that moms across America have about the future of America. The show will be airing at 5 pm Eastern Time on the Foxnews channel.   I have been privileged to be amongst the many wonderful women who will be sharing their concerns with other Americans.  Although women will be speaking, men may hold these very same concerns. I  hope that all will tune in for this special segment. Glenn Becks 9 Principles and 12 values are those that we as American's have lost over the past 3 decades.  I will be joined by my new special blogger on Mommylife.blogspot.com.  I am looking forward to seeing what is on the minds of other mothers across this country.  Here is a list of Glenn Becks 9/12 principles and values.

1. America Is Good.

2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life.

God “The propitious smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right which Heaven itself has ordained.” from George Washington’s first Inaugural address.

3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.

Honesty “I hope that I shall always possess firmness and virtue enough to maintain what I consider to be the most enviable of all titles, the character of an honest man.” George Washington

4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government.

Marriage/Family “It is in the love of one’s family only that heartfelt happiness is known. By a law of our nature, we cannot be happy without the endearing connections of a family.” Thomas Jefferson

5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.

Justice “I deem one of the essential principles of our government… equal and exact justice to all men of whatever state or persuasion, religious or political.” Thomas Jefferson

6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results.

Life, Liberty, & The Pursuit of Happiness “Everyone has a natural right to choose that vocation in life which he thinks most likely to give him comfortable subsistence.” Thomas Jefferson

7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.

Charity “It is not everyone who asketh that deserveth charity; all however, are worth of the inquiry or the deserving may suffer.” George Washington

8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.

On your right to disagree “In a free and republican government, you cannot restrain the voice of the multitude; every man will speak as he thinks, or more properly without thinking.” George Washington

9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.

Who works for whom? “I consider the people who constitute a society or a nation as the source of all authority in that nation.” Thomas Jefferson

The 12 Values

* Honesty

* Reverence

* Hope

* Thrift

* Humility

* Charity

* Sincerity

* Moderation

* Hard Work

* Courage

* Personal Responsibility

* Gratitude

    Absoltuely!! Do you know how many times I was called UnAmerican when I disagreed with President Bush's Iraqi Invasion. I am so glad to see you recognize how unfairly I was treated. What a relief!

  8. Thanks Stogie that was so nice of you, you know us women we get all silly over how we look on tv and forget about our real purpose. But those other women were amazing. We had such a great time together. And we can not stop with one show, we must get back to our American values because it is we who carry the principles through our lifestyles and actions and the things we embrace as truths. Thank you all for your kind words and your show of support, I was honored to be among the great women that surrounded me.

    Agree with everything you have written.
    You Rock!

    Since I taught in public schools for thirty-plus
    years, I can tell you that North Carolina schools now mandate that values be taught by the teachers. Wake up parents!

    a positive and impressive way!

  20. Mary, I am looking at you on TV. I believe you have a thyroid problem. My doctor said that testing for thyroid can be flawed. You can show plenty of thyroid in your blood, BUT it is not getting to your organs. I hope you will check this.

  22. Mary,

    I am watching you on Beck as I write. I can't thank you enough for bringing this issue to the forefront.

    I post on different sites, hoping to bring understanding to the white audience on these discussion boards.

    I have stated so many times just how many conservative blacks and minorities there are. I have posted links to black sites such as "hip hop republican," as well as other sites.

    It is like trying to address a blank wall. Even the minorities on the discussion boards fail to accept that more minorities are republican/conservative in their thinking than liberal. They may be "democrats," but, I know minorities have far more conservative values than liberal.

    God bless you and all those you work with, to bring about the "real change" our country needs.

  23. I am glad to know that you are out there, working at something lots of people should be working at. I have to be honest that you are not the only black female that says exactly what your saying. I know that may have a negative sound to it, but it's not meant to. I have had a fear that blacks wouldn't speak out against this Obama-Nation, and all of the crazy ideas coming out of Washington. Thank you, God Bless you and keep you safe.

  28. Found out about you by watching Glenn Beck,
    here in Iowa at 1:00 to 2:00 AM in the morning, 10-03-09, by watching his rebroadcast.
    During his regular on air time in the afternoon, I am at work.
    I went to my computer which I had just shut off 15 minutes before to look you up.
    I like it that Jesus Christ is your leader, as I am also a Christian.
    I followed your link to "Why I am no longer an African America," and downloaded and saved the article.
    I never understood the desire to be called this.
    I am a white male, but I don't go aroung saying I am a European American. "I am an American!" Period!
    I enjoyed the show and am glad I found out about you.
    God Bless You Mary, and keep you safe, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

  31. Mary God bless you!!! I was so proud of you when I saw you on Glenn Beck's program both at the 9.12 meeting and again last night with the 2 other ladies. Wow!! How God is using you girl!

    I want to say something personal...a way you healed a hurt for me and I mean it with the most sincere respect I can muster. THANK YOU for remarking about there being no difference in color when you are following something divine. Since the election race last year, my family members have been told that since we didn't follow Obama we "must be racist". My teenage daughter has been told to her face twice at her own high school these very same words. I can't tell you how damaging and painful it was for her and for us because it never has been and never will be true. We are not racist. We simply refused to abide by or support the ideals of the other party. There was nothing in our choices that had anything to do with race.

    I've personally, silently, been so mortified by this accusation and felt that there was a "shift" in our nation and that the only thing bigger than the election was "are you going to vote for a black man or not?!" How outrageous and foolish a challenge! There ARE those of us who are Caucasian who DO NOT and NEVER WILL support the atrocities that have happened and in many ways still happen to the African American community. How could we??? As Christians we KNOW that God is no respecter of persons and it wounds Him over and over to see one race berate another. We could NEVER support or defend that type of ideology.

    Thank you Mary for NOT drawing a line in the sand and for uniting us all in one accord under the banner of our Lord and King Jesus Christ. You gave me hope and you let me see that there is at least one woman who refuses to believe that all white people are unforgivably racist.

    You were AWESOME both times on Glenn's show and I for one hope that I will see you many more times not only on his show but others as well. Your voice needs to be heard!

    I stand behind you, am praying for you as The Lord moves you into His will for your life, and I will be cheering you on every step of the way my beloved sister in Christ Jesus.

    Your sister,
    Sherri Kohls

  33. You are a wonderful person, Mary. You are doing a good work. I hope to follow you and have enjoyed with pride the two times I have seen you on Glenn's show. I am not a mom-but I am a concerned old lady who empathizes with all moms around the world. I am just an aunt, with 12 nieces and know how hard a time it is to get the truth trough and help them find their way. Thanks for all you do.

  36. High Mary,
    I saw you on GB. WOW! I had to look you up. I remain a Republican so that I can vote in the primary. My state has O. Snowe and S. Collins and they are so wishy washy on many things.
    I think we should as a nation implement changes to the Congressional benefits reducing retirement benefits.

    Our constitution was developed to prevent what we see happening now. Legislators are re-elected term after term until they are senile or in wheel chairs. Since term limits were ruled unconstitutional, lets take the money incentive away and they'll stop runningfor re-election.

    PS I agree with anonymous. You should have your thyroid checked. If it's normal try to use iodized salt.

  37. Mary,
    I applaud you! During Glenn Beck Show, I was standing in the middle of the room, clapping! Our values ARE the future of our children. God Bless you. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

  38. Dear Mary,
    My grandson was named for a great-great Uncle who was instrumental in assisting hundreds of Negroes in their quest to be free (Underground Railroad). I have instilled pride of HIS accomplishments in MY children. Being called a "Racist" is particularly hurtful, to me. Not by a longshot!
    As a registered Nurse in the Emergency Room for more than 25+ years, I treated "scads" of patients without regard to Race or Ethnicity. The remarks made by insensitive Politicians are an insult to caregiving health Professionals like me. ALL patients were "treated," regardless of ability to pay. Treatment FIRST, inquiry into ability to pay SECOND. Sign me, Christian American.

  39. I am a member of the 9-12 project and espouse those values. I have witnessed first hand how quickly sentiment in this country can change. Having lived in NYC from August of 2003 to July of 2006 I have witnessed first hand that this country has forgotten what we felt that day. It was so hard for me to visit the site of the WTC. It was one of the first places we visited upon moving to the city and took our children to witness the beginning of the fight that was brought to us. I was flooded with memories that day of how painful that event was as I looked into the gaping hole of where the towers once stood. I shed many tears that day, two years after those buildings came down. Being the spouse of a soldier and living within my circle of friends the price we pay and the sacrifices we make stay with me everyday. I weep for every casualty still today. The 9-12 project is long overdue and I hope that someday we will get back what we've lost from the lessons of that day.

  40. Hey everyone,

    Thank you all for your wonderful show of support. I think that we are all waking up. We don't even have a political system. As my mind continues to understand what is going on, it is as if we have been thrown in a dungeon or something. I wrote and article about it and is waiting to appear again at the American Thinker. Thanks also to all those who are concerned about my thyroid. I had my thyroid removed 6 years ago. So I am on medication. Sometimes it looks wierd but there is nothing there. I have routine test and everything is fine.
