God is Pro-Life

Today I am scratching my head wondering, “How did Roe vs Wade pass? In our Online Bible Study in Genesis, God specifically tells us how He feels about life. There is no “wondering what He really meant by that” approach one can take from what He has put in place regarding life. This is not the first verse where God specifically tells us how He feels about life. But this is what Genesis 9:6 says, “Only you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, (C)its blood.

5"Surely I will require (D)your lifeblood; (E)from every beast I will require it. And from every man, from every man's brother I will require the life of man. 6"(F)Whoever sheds man's blood, by man his blood shall be shed, for (G)in the image of God He made man. 7"As for you, (H)be fruitful and multiply; Populate the earth abundantly and multiply in it."

This seems more like the serpent saying “Did God really say?” We have had it wrong, and we have been asking the wrong question for the last 50 years, is what I take from these Scriptures. Instead of debating, “when does life begin?” The question should be, “Is there blood flowing through them?” This debate would be over and everyone would stop hiding behind their rebellious desire to act in disobedience against God. To my fellow women I would say this, “You have no right to chose.” Once God has placed blood in the veins that person has life and therefore has been ordained by God to life, not a women’s desire to birth that life.

This morning I see America’s plight like I have never seen it with my understanding before. This is what the consequences are for those who would take away the life of another:

Surely I will require (D)your lifeblood; (E)from every beast I will require it. And from every man, from every man's brother I will require the life of man.

Now if God would require this of man, what do you think He will require of a nation, who runs to embraces the governments sanction on rebellion. Our nation must repent, but more than that our churches must repent, because there was no church uprising against this atrocity and in fact many church leaders will tell you that we can not judge. This has nothing to do with judging. God has commanded and we are responsible to obey. Before I became a Christian, I had two abortions. During those times I was a staunch liberal who believed that I had a right to my own choices. Only the grace of God that provided me wisdom so that the eyes of my understanding would be enlightened changed my stance against this horrible act of rebellion.

Only those who can submit themselves to God’s Sovereignty can accept that abortion is always wrong. God’s sovereignty means that God sees every circumstance. He sees a woman being raped. He sees a woman in an act of sexual immorality. Yes, God in His Sovereignty must look upon man every day, in his state of lust, unbelief and out right profane behaviors, rebellion and totally rejection of what He has commanded. God has had to witness this every mili-second of each day since the day, man fell from grace. But in this country He must sit on His throne and see innocent children being put to death, for NOTHING. Now do you really believe God would have anything to do with America, just on that act alone? Psalms 127:1-2 says, Behold, (A)children are a gift of the LORD, the (B)fruit of the womb is a reward. 4Like arrows in the hand of a (C)warrior, so are the children of one's youth.

The belief that “children are a gift from God”, is not a catchy Hallmark greeting, it is Truth. Every time one conceives a child God is giving that person a gift. Yet many, even our current administration would feel that they would not want anyone to be “punished”, by having a child. So who is right God or President Obama? Is a child a gift, or punishment? If this blog post has tone of anger it is because I am angry. I am angry that we have allowed the government to regulate rebellion. Conservative Moms for America hopes to rebuild the America God gave to our founding fathers by challenging every person to evaluate they way they are living. America’s number one problem is immorality. Because our country was based on the providence of God immorality can not reside with a Holy God. God has been showing us in many ways that He has had enough and now we are seeing it first hand.

In Genesis God also showed that He has much pity for us, because He knows that we are no match for the heart and the corruption that it can create. We are often reminded of Numbers 12:6, which is the call to repentance, but we must also remember that God calls the leadership to repentance as well. In 2 Chronicles 12:1-7, the Israelites are about to be attacked by Shishak the King of Egypt, because their leader rejected the commands of the LORD.

Now it came to pass, when Rehoboam had established the kingdom and had strengthened himself, that he forsook the law of the LORD, and all Israel along with him. 2 And it happened in the fifth year of King Rehoboam that Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem, because they had transgressed against the LORD, 3 with twelve hundred chariots, sixty thousand horsemen, and people without number who came with him out of Egypt—the Lubim and the Sukkiim and the Ethiopians. 4 And he took the fortified cities of Judah and came to Jerusalem.

5 Then Shemaiah the prophet came to Rehoboam and the leaders of Judah, who were gathered together in Jerusalem because of Shishak, and said to them, “Thus says the LORD: ‘You have forsaken Me, and therefore I also have left you in the hand of Shishak.’” 6 So the leaders of Israel and the king humbled themselves; and they said, “The LORD is righteous.” 7 Now when the LORD saw that they humbled themselves, the word of the LORD came to Shemaiah, saying, “They have humbled themselves; therefore I will not destroy them, but I will grant them some deliverance. My wrath shall not be poured out on Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak.

America needs to return to the practice of electing principled and God-fearing leaders. It is obvious in every part of American life that our leaders have stopped fearing God. God is Pro-life and He will require at His judgment the life of all those who in rebellion destroyed innocent life. Think about it.

  1. God is pro-life: now I know folks with so many political perspectives on the issue but what I never got was the notion that God could be anything other than pro-life.

  2. I know that as well, but it seems as though many Americans do not put the two together. You would think so but many women have embrace this concept of having their right to chose to kill their babies or end their lives. When did God give us that right? But this is a blog to challenge the people. Our politicians will have their day before God and so will we and when we do we will suffer the consequences of embracing man-made rights and embracing, man's rights.

  3. With the science and medical advances it is very plain to see that life begins well before the child leaves the womb. Each year it gets more difficult to deny as premature babies survive earlier and earlier deliveries. One can only wonder what it will take to gain the political viability. When compared to the evidence needed to further the "global warming" agenda this should be an easy sell.

  4. How did Roe vs. Wade pass?? Because of apathetic Christians.

“All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.” - Edmund Burke

Christians have become spectators in the world today, waiting for someone else to fix the problem(s) of this world today. We have the answer, The LORD Jesus Christ, but we are not presenting Him to the world. We are the “Peters” of this world today.

The life GOD created is His. Only GOD gives life and only GOD has the right to take it.

Psa 71:6-By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art he that took me out of my mother's bowels: my praise [shall be] continually of thee

    Isa 44:24 --Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I [am] the LORD that maketh all [things]; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;

What will God do with the wicked???

Psa 7:11--God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry [with the wicked] every day.

“The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God." —Psalm 9:17

Christians are to not only to "have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but (also) . . . reprove them" (Eph. 5:11).

Those who do nothing about sin and evil, help the sin and evil to prevail. One who is silent when there are those around him in sin becomes a partaker with them (Eph. 5:7).

"Ye that love the LORD, hate evil..." —Psalm 97:10

Evil triumphs when good men do nothing!
"And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible."
    — Isaiah 13:11

Yes! I agree our churches must repent. But it seems like we have not see the need to do that. We keep on doing that which is right in our own eyes. Jdg 17:6 --In those days [there was] no king in Israel, [but] every man did [that which was] right in his own eyes.

We have the theology going around today called “ I Think” . It is not about what we think it, it is about what GOD ’S word says. Does what we BELIEVE line up with the Word Of GOD???? Is it based on the Word of GOD????

Mary, you said, “America needs to return to the practice of electing principled and God-fearing leaders. It is obvious in every part of American life that our leaders have stopped fearing God. God is Pro-life and He will require at His judgment the life of all those who in rebellion destroyed innocent life. Think about it.”

This is so true. I agree 100%. But you know something?? The Word of God is not going forth out of pulpits to put any fear into man. The pulpits won’t even preach on or against hell. They won’t preach on the evils of this world. Our preachers and congregations have stopped fearing God.

I am white, I am married to a black man, and I go to a black church that has three white people that go there, all three are women. During the month of February (Black History Month) some of the black ladies there actually wear Obama tee shirts with “Obama or Bust” on it. (Can you imagine??) They have pictures of black Americans up on the wall all around the church. In the sanctuary. Pictures of people that are lost and deny God are up the walls in this church during February.

So you know the next statement is that they voted for Obama. This I do not understand how a “Christian” could have voted for Obama to be President.

The reason I go to this church is because of my husband.

America has turned her back on GOD. And GOD help us.

Thank you Mary for your stand. May God bless.

  5. You say that God is Pro-Life. Well according to your friends you don't count Iraqis,Afghanis and Black Presidents. Some Conservatives have been putting this Bible passage up:

There’s a new slogan making its way onto car bumpers and across the Internet. It reads simply: "Pray for Obama: Psalm 109:8"

    A nice sentiment?

    Maybe not.

The psalm reads, "Let his days be few; and let another take his office."

Presidential criticism through witty slogans is nothing new. Bumper stickers, t-shirts, and hats with "1/20/09" commemorated President Bush’s last day in office.

But the verse immediately following the psalm referenced is a bit more ominous: "Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow."

  6. "This seems more like the serpent saying “Did God really say?” We have had it wrong, and we have been asking the wrong question for the last 50 years."

That strange in 1959 blacks didn't have Civil Rights or Voting Right , racist call it "the good old days".then that Dr.King had to mess it up for those good old white folks.Shame on us wanting to read and write.

You keep regurgitating Abortion, when a pre-teen that get pregnant is raped ,why force her to have the baby? Some need abortion for health reasons. Guess which state has the highest incidents of incest,Alaska.

  7. Mary- my friends and I were wondering where you have been lately. Glad to see you back on the blog scene. You always drop profound nuggets of scripture and insight. Thank you for your honesty in your confession. Did you know that James Robison was the product of an act of rape? Yet, his mother chose to see that God had a perfect will for the life of her child and she gave birth. He is a wonderful man of God who ministers to thousands of people on a daily basis. Praise God for the women who choose life. Even though it may bot be the easy choice, they know that it is the best choice.

  8. God is pro-life? Mary, you might want to check out the Book of Hosea Chapter 9:
    Verse 14:
    Give them, O Lord—
    what will you give?
    Give them a miscarrying womb
    and dry breasts.

    Verse 16:
    Ephraim is stricken;
    their root is dried up;
    they shall bear no fruit.
    Even though they give birth,
I will put their beloved children to death.

It's fine you want to call yourself "pro-life." But don't you think it is a little presumptious to declare God's view on the issue, especially given the conflicting evidence?

  9. replying to kid...

Hey do you have tunnel vision?? Of all the information that has been put out here why do you have to keep on and on about the past?? Why does the race card have to be played over and over??? Look at the Jews?? Do you see them constantly lamenting over what happened to them???

They were the first slaves. Look at Hitler and what he done to them. That was absolutely atrocious. And what happened to the blacks was atrocious, but no matter how much you play the blame game it will change nothing that happened in the past. Go ahead try and change the past. You can't do it. The past is so we can learn from it. Not all people will learn from past. But we can't change that either. I don't try and change others, I work on myself.

I will not be held accountable for your sins and you will not be held accountable for mine. Romans 14:12--- So then every one of us shall give account of himself to GOD.

When we stand before GOD, it will be you and GOD. It will be GOD and me. Every man will give an account for himself. GOD will be the judge. And He will judge faithfully and just.
Isaiah 32:22--For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; he will save us.

I do not condone what happened to the blacks, I condemn it. But no matter what I say I can never change it.

If you are looking for retribution, vengeance, payback, or justice, ONLY GOD is capable of true and honest and just judgment.

There is one GOD, One heaven, and one way to get there. There is not going to be a heaven for the blacks and a heaven for the whites. One more thing Jesus was not black or white he was a Jew.

He is the savior of the whole world.

  11. I hope this isn't too off subject.I never read this before and I wanted to share it. "Despite our efforts to keep Him out.God intrudes. The life of Jesus is bracketed by two impossibilities;a virgins womb and an empty tomb.Jesus entered our world through a door marked "No Entrance" and left through a door marked "No Exit" - Peter Larson

  12. I had a family member show me this site and I started reading what people had to say. She said you can write on the wall if you would like, I didn't know how to start off or even know what to say so I'm just going to speak from my heart. I grew up going to a Baptist Church but once my grandparents moved away I no longer went except on occasions. I wasn't raised knowing God and what he was about. I sinned really bad and didn't realize it. I met my husband in 2000 and my in-laws are very Christian so they would talk to me about God and how I should learn about him. I would pray and still go to Church occasionally but not all the time. My life wasn't great and it was full of sin. My husband had a lung collapse 2 weeks after we were married and something that I had prayed about for years came through just not in the form that I would like for it to have happened. I realized then that God really existed and answered prayers just not the way you would like. I beleive God allows things to occur to bring you closer to him. There are signs everywhere guiding you to follow him, we don't follow him all the time and we sin. We get lost along the way and sometimes you have to hit rock bottom before you do follow him. I guess you could say that when my husband had gotten sick that was my rock bottom because I wasn't wanting to loose my husband after 2 weeks. It took me a little bit but I was saved in 2006. I have gotten off track and been lost a few times since then. I know I can go to God and talk to him, pray to him but because my own stupidity I don't. There is no excuse for that. I let the world interfere with that and I have kicked God to the side when I shouldn't have. Within the past couple weeks going to church I have really payed attention to what the preacher has said. Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove that is good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

What is the objective in a Christians life? To be conformed by the image of his son "JESUS."

Put on the garment of rightousness, Do not get caught up in the spirit of age. Time and Life are prepatory. The way you think changes you.

I guess what I am saying is there are alot of Lost people in this world. We all need to follow Jesus Christ and pay attention to the signs in front of us. We all need to open our bibles and read his world because there is so much valuable information. Whatever problem we face or sin that we have we need to go to God and ask him to do his WILL. We shouldn't depend on the world to do it for us because the world will just disappoint you but GOD and JESUS CHRIST will not. I LOVE MY FATHER AND BROTHER AND I WISH THAT EVERYONE WOULD OPEN THEIR HEART AND MIND TO THEM. Thanks for listening and reading.

  13. Hello All,

Thank you all for stopping by. Until we become a God-fearing people again, not much will change in America. We are in the political mess we are in because our politicians are a reflection of us. This nation has become immoral and corrupt and the only thing that can fix it is God. We must turn this country back to God. We have shouted and stomped and yelled enough now lets start doing something.

  14. omg!!! Amen and amen Mary to your reply on December 5. 2009 @ 7:43 pm. It is time for ACTION. But don't you think it would help if our preachers in the pulpit would get behind the Word and preach and take a stand against the immorality and corruptness that is going on this world??? They won't even preach the word of GOD anymore. Sometimes it is really hard going to church, because of their lack of stand.

I wrote a response to one of your blogs about how our church puts up pictures of the lost on our walls in the sanctuary of the church during Black History Month and NOT one person has question this practice. WHY?? because it is a black church. They are doing that which is right in their own eyes. It makes me sick. I am presently looking for a new church. One that will stand for the word of GOD.

I am also disappointed that I have not heard from you on this subject.
